Ellen A. Agne, age 71, of Hackettstown formerly of Irvington, NJ died Monday, June 8, 2015 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Ellen was born February 17, 1944 in Newark, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Arthur F. and Helen A. (Werner) Borchert. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Arthur Brochert and 2 brother in laws; Douglas and Robert Agne. Ellen was a devoted Homemaker who loved spending time with her grandchildren. She loved her cats, was an avid reader and enjoyed doing puzzles, knitting, crocheting and gardening. She is survived by her husband: Richard Agne, 1 daughter; Christine Lepinski, 1 brother; John Borchert and wife Gloria, 1 sister; Karen Agne and husband Thomas, 3 sister in laws; Charlotte Agne, Mary Agne, Pricilla Borchert, 1 granddaughter: Hannah Lepinski, 1 grandson; Aaron Moday, many nieces and nephews and great nieces & nephews. The funeral will be held 10:30 am on Saturday, June 13 at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Pastor Terry Herzberg officiating. Burial will be in Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows following services. Visiting hours will be Friday, June 12, 2015 from 6:00pm-9:00pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ. For those desiring donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice in memory of Ellen.

So sorry to hear of Ellen's passing. God's peace to the family. I remember the camping we did as a church group, it was a great time.

God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around her and whispered, "Come with Me". With tearful eyes you watched her suffer. And saw her fade away. Although you loved her dearly, you could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke your hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
