Francis Mincevich of Hackettstown NJ, beloved husband of Jean Mae Chabok, passed away on May 21, 2020 at Warren Haven Nursing Home. Better known to all as Frank or Minnie, he was born on May 3, 1935 in Great Meadows, NJ. Minnie and Jean were married for 63 years.
Minnie has three children: Cindy L. Neumann and husband Robert of Great Meadows, Steven F. Mincevich of Great Meadows and Stacey L. Tillou and husband John of Hackettstown. Three grandchildren: James F. Neumann and wife Elizabeth of Elon, NC, Richard F. Neumann and wife Erin of Belvidere, NJ and Michael S. Neumann of Great Meadows, Kristina Tillou of Salisbury, MD, Jennifer Tillou of Hackettstown and Megan Tillou of Great Meadows. Four Great –grandchildren: Francis, Fitzpatrick and Cora Neumann and Mackenzie Dietl. A sister Wanda Stephens of Andover, NJ, a sister in law, Susan Chabok of New Providence, NJ.
Minnie was predeceased by his parnets Julius and Mary Kuczynski Mincevich. Also, his siblings: Julius, Eugene, Walter, Albert and Veronica.
Minnie was a 1950 graduate of Hackettstown High School. After graduation he went to Olympia Junior College in Washington State, then to the University of South Carolina on a full athletic scholarship to play football. While there he earned the honors of All-ACC guard for two years, All-American Guard his senior year and played in the N/S Shriners Bowl, Oyster Bow, Senior Bowl All-Star team and was drafted by the San Fransico 49ers’. His draft to play for the 49’er’s ended when his military draft number was called. He then played semi pro ball for the Hamilton Wild Cats in Ontario, Canada. In 1975 he was inducted into the Athetic Hall of Fame at South Carolina. In 2015 he was named as one of the inaugural inductees of the HHS Athletic Hall of Fame.
Minnie married Jean on June 16, 1956. He worked for Doncheski Bros. of Hackettstown from the time he was 17 years old. The company was later bought by Makarevich Bros. and he continued to work there as a mechanic, mostly servicing hay balers until his retirement. He also worked in the mines of Mine Hill, New Jersey
Minnie Coached youth baseball and the Biddy Football Team where they won a championship and never had a losing season. He was a member of the Hackettstown Moose Lodge and the Independence Gun Club of which he was a founding member.
Due to Coronavirus restrictions, funeral services will be private at this time. In lieu of flowers, a football scholarship at Hackettstown High School will be made in Minnie’s name. Glenn Evans
On Friday, May 15, 2020, Glenn Evans age 70 of Hackettstown, NJ, passed away after valiant battle with ALS.
Born in West Virginia to the late Walter Ross and Audrey Louise (Wright) Evans,
Glenn served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1971 as a Helicopter Rescue Aircrewman. He was a graduate of Bloomfield College and worked for the City of East Orange as a Supervisor for over 30 years.
An avid sportsman and a fun loving guy who was full of life and energy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery, boating, and golfing with a multitude of friends.
Glenn is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years Dorothy (Charles) Evans; daughter Kellie Marie Evans Bray of Long Valley. He was a proud and loving grandfather of Addison Jane Bray and William Cole Bray Jr. and loving sister Linda D’Aloia of Florham Park, many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-laws and a brother-in-law.
A private visitation will be on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street Hackettstown, NJ 07840 with a graveside service and burial to follow at Pequest Union Cemetery in Great Meadows, NJ. A memorial mass and gathering will be held at a later date.

Joann Therese Pearman, 77, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully in her
sleep with her dog Bailey by her side on May 11, 2020, after spending her “BEST”
Mother’s Day with her children and grandchildren.
The most important thing in Joann’s life was her family. She is survived by her
daughter Therese Pearman, her son Richard Pearman and her daughter-in-law Jo
Ellen. Also, her grandchildren, Francis Williamson and her partner Van Figueroa,
Richie and Raegan Pearman as well as her sisters Dianna Dixon Dorlon, brother-inlaw Mearle, and Debbie Dixon. In addition, Joann is also survived by her many
nieces and nephews, Debra Stewart and her spouse Christian, Kevin Dorlon and
his spouse Nina, Michael Dorlon, Jamie Taylor and his spouse Stephanie, Colleen
Tilney and her spouse Michael, Brian Taylor and his spouse Tara.
Joann had many great nieces and nephews including Alexis, Alaina, Kevin, and
Ryder Dorlon. Peyton, Rylee, and Ethan Tilney. Liam, Colin, Alanna, and Kaitlin
Taylor. Logan and Cody Taylor.
Joann is also survived by her stepdaughter Robyn Pearman McManus and her
family who reside in Florida.
Aside from all the family listed above, Joann was known as a mom and grandma
to so many.
She leaves behind her close friends Linda and David Perkins, Jack Korzilius,
Dorothy Wagner, Anna Nigara Daly, Katie Lapp and so many others.
Joann was born in a blackout during World War II in Teaneck, NJ to William Dixon
and Elma VanSickle Dixon on April 9, 1943. She grew up in Norwood, NJ and Old
Tappan, NJ and attended school at Norwood Public School and Northern Valley
Regional High School in Demarest, NJ. She graduated in 1960 from Englewood
Beauty School in Englewood, NJ as a licensed cosmetologist. She owned and ran
Set & Style, a beauty parlor in Cliffside Park, NJ from 1965 to 1968.
After moving to Landing, NJ in 1969, Joann held various other jobs including
beautician, and worked at Bates Manufacturing. She retired from M&M Mars
National Office after many years in manufacturing and accounting.
Joann was known to be a joker and always loved to make others laugh. Her wit
and sass was what others loved so much about her and she never missed a party
or celebration. She loved bird watching, gardening, fishing, shopping, and making
new friends.
Joann was an animal lover and was deeply involved in rescuing and adopting
horses and being known as the “Horse Lady”. She helped many people find their
love for horses and supported the many activities that involved taking care of
them.
She will always be greatly missed and loved. A mass at St. Luke’s Catholic Church
in Long Valley, NJ and a memorial ceremony celebrating her life will be planned in
the future.

Anthony G. Fowler, (Tony) age 74, of Great Meadows, NJ passed away peacefully with his wife at his side, Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Hackettstown Reginal Medical Center. Born January 16, 1946 in Hazel Grove, Manchester, England to Alan and Murial Fowler.
Tony proudly served in the U.S. Navy 1963 – 1967 on the Hugh Pervis, DD-709, USS Sierra, AD -18, USS Voorhis DE-1028. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 278, Stanhope, NJ for 35 Years.
Tony graduated from Ramapo Regional H.S. He was employed with Ma Bell then Verizon retiring after 32 Years in 2003.
Tony loved fishing and boating and enjoyed sitting at the ferry in Cape May, watching the Lewis Ferry and other boats going in and out of the Delaware Bay. He enjoyed hunting and working on his muscle cars in his earlier years. He liked watching hockey, golf and Fox News.
Tony was a loving husband to Susan (nee Baker) for 48 Years. He is survived by his beloved daughter Laurie and loving companion Scott Tarnoski, his loving grandchildren, Zachary and Kaylee Fowler of Byram, N.J., sister Jacqulin and husband Bruce of S.C., sister Leslie of FLA, brother, Keith and wife Tammy of C.O., sister –in law Janet and husband Tim of N.C. Holly and Husband Jim of P.A. and many nieces and nephews.
Tony is predeceased by his son Anthony, his parents Alan and Murial, his in-laws Audrey and Ronald Becker and a brother in-law Wayne Baker.
