Occupation: In her younger years, Helen worked as a social worker in N.Y.C. from 1935 - 1937. From 1970 to 1983 she worked at Hackettstown Community Hospital establishing the Social Services Dept.

Additional Information: She was a Graduate of Wilson College, Chambersburg, Pa. Class of '33 ; and a Graduate of Smith College School of Social Work, North Hampton, Mass. Class of '35. Member of the Hackettstown First Presbyterian Church where she was a Deacon and Elder. She was also a member of the Church's Ladies Circle organization. While living in Morristown, she was a Volunteer for the Morristown United Way. Helen was a member of the American Association of University Woman and served as President. She also established a branch of American Assoc. of University Woman in Hackettstown. An Active member of the Morristown Womans Club, Helen was the recipient of the Cecelia Gaines Holland Award in 1997 recognizing her community service. She was a Charter Member and Co-archivist of the Hackettstown Historical Society. Founder of the Hackettstown Womans Club in 1969 and was voted Hackettstown Woman of the Year as well as a Hackettstown Senior Hall of fame in 1987. She established the Institute for Learning at Centenary College in 1963 and participated in this Institute until recently.
Visitation: Friday August 26th from 5-8pm at the Funeral Home.
