Additional Information:  Lenora graduated from New Jersey College for Women, (now Rutgers) in 1940 with a degree in Bacteriology and then earned her Masters Degree in 1949 and her PhD in 1965. While at Rutgers she worked with Dr. Waksman in developing some of the early antibiotics. During WW II she was a member of the WAVES, again working in microbiology. After leaving Rutgers, she taught at the Cochran School for Nursing in Yonkers and then went on to work as a Research Librarian at Ciba-Geigy
