Jeanne Walther Palmer, 87 , died  10/20/04 in  her residence.  Jeanne lived in  Washington Township (Morris Co.)Long Valley, NJ since 1973 coming from Montclair, NJ and was born in Montclair, NJ on 02/14/17.

Occupation: Mrs. Palmer was a Botanist with the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, retiring many years ago. Previously she was employed at the University of Rochester (NY) where she studied the effect of the Atom bomb and radiation on native vegatation.

Additional Information:  Mrs. Palmer was a member of the Schooley's Mountain Presbyterian Church; a graduate of Wheaton University of Mass. (1939), received her M.B.A. from Columbia University (NY)1941; she was a Girl Scout Eaglet and former Troop Leader many years ago; member of the P.T.A. years ago in Germany where her husband, Dr. Eddy Palmer, was stationed in the US Army; Mrs. Palmer was an organic gardener and farmer and still worked on the family farm into her middle eighties, having several fruit and vegetable stands near her Schooley's Mountain home.
