Rita Lutz Keslensky, age 94, of Yarmouth Port, MA died Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis, MA. Rita was born October 2, 1925 in Sugarnotch, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (McCabe) Godleski and was a 1944 graduate of GAR Memorial High School in Wilkes Barre, PA. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lutz, husband, Edward Keslensky and her son, Carl B. Lutz, her sister Celia and her grandson Douglas.
Before retiring in 1988 she was employed by Rotmetco Supermarkets, Hackettstown, NJ and Panther Valley Country Club of Hackettstown, NJ. She was a member of Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Mary, Hackettstown, NJ, and Light of Christ Church, FL. She was a past president of Joyce Kilmer Council Columbiettes, Hackettstown, NJ. She was a volunteer at the Senior Center, Yarmouth, MA. Rita resided in Florida from 1988 and remained there until 2005 then moved to Yarmouth, MA
Rita is survived by her children, Patricia Rosner, Yarmouth, MA, Carole Lanterman and husband Bruce, three grandchildren, Rebecca Rosner, Lori Rosner, Eric Lanterman, nieces, nephews, two step children, Gerry Keslensky of Georgia, Lawrence Mayer of Virginia and three step grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 on Friday January 24, 2020 from 4-8 pm.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Mary on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 11 am. Burial will be in Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows following the mass.
