Just this moment thought of Al and how he taught me to play banjo at Delaware Valley College..I just googled his name and read this obituary-we were horticulture majors and lived in same dormitory - he was a unique character, great enough that I remember him after all these years. Condolences to his family- I will never forget him

There are only a few boys that worked on Dads farm us Ozyjowski girls took to heart. Albie was one of them. Dad loved him like a son and we as a brother. I still see him sitting at the end of the couch by Dads awful feet. Laughing. There just are no words but to say peace hugs and love to all the Kurnaths

Such a heavy heart in hearing this news. We grew up with Albi and I remember him working on our farm. Such a great sense of humor. My Dad, Mike Ozyjowski, loved him like family. Just too soon. Our prayers go out to his family. Much love, the Ozyjowski’s.

I was greatly saddened when I heard of Al's tragic accident and death. Could only remember back to grade school and high school and the bus rides home that we shared every day with all the Kurnath kids...our neighbors just down the road. Heartfelt sympathies to all the family. Al will be missed both near and far.

Alice & family: I'm so sorry to hear of Albie's passing. I remember him as always having a ready smile and good sense of humor. He was a great cousin and although many years have passed since our last family gathering, I always enjoyed spending time with Albie as well as all the Kurnath's.

To cousin Alice and Albert's family: I'm very sorry for your loss. Cousin Ginny informed me, and you all must be terrifically impacted. I find Albert's interests neat: wrestling, woodworking, stone, Indian artifacts. His curiosity must have been strong. I hope that you can find joy in the celebration of his life as a way to overcome the pain of loss. With my condolences, Buz.

So saddened to hear of this tragedy with Al. My fondest memories of Al are in Hackettstown High School where he sat behind me in home room all 4 years. Never failed to make me laugh every morning. Always had a smile on his face and I can still remember turning around in homeroom every morning and talking to him like it was yesterday. Rest in peace dear classmate. You will be missed. Condolences to his family and loved ones that are left behind.

To Al’s Family, I am a lawyer now doing “honest work@. Particularly, I have had the good fortune to be selling boulders to Wicki Stone, because Al took a chance on me. An attorney doing such work? In fact Al and I last txt’d on Tuesday. We did that often, including in the evenings after work. He was a hell of a man and all around good guy. My last contact with him was a rock order he gave me in appreciation for my getting one of his drivers out of a bit of a problem on my property that very day. I was devestated, and still am, at his very untimely passing. He, and his family, are, and always will be, in my thoughts and prayers.

Happened to be in Belvidere when I was asked “did you hear what happened to an old classmate of ours?” I was really shocked. Haven’t seen Al in 40 plus years but will always remember his 1970s look and brown rimmed glasses. Don’t think about those days very often but I do remember he was kind to me in our senior home room. Sometimes It’s the little things in life that a person does that stands out in ones memory. I’m truly sorry for his family and friends.

I worked with Al and am shocked and so saddened by his passing. Al was always kind and warm to me - always with an upbeat smile. He had such a fertile mind that he would always ask a question, and inevitability answer one. I really enjoyed the range and depth of our conversations. I am so sorry for his family, his colleagues at work and his friends. He will live on in my memories as an exceptional man who I am so thankful I had the opportunity to know. Our thoughts are with his family.

This is beyond any words that I can express. Al was a wonderful father, great boss and a very, very special man. We had sure a great time when he stopped to visit me here in Michigan last fall. He was so funny and excited to see an Asian Crap in Lake Michigan and visit the muck here. I am so greatful we had that time together. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Love to you all.
