Lester G. Carpenter, 64 of Hackettstown, NJ passed away at home on Friday, January 24, 2020. Born in Newton, NJ, Lester was the son of the late Marvin & Barbara Greiff Carpenter. Lester has been employed by Lowe’s of Hackettstown as a Lead Receiver since 2006. A lifelong resident of Hackettstown, Lester was a graduate of Hackettstown High School. He and his beloved wife Jody Milici Carpenter have been married for over 42 years. An avid professional sports fan, Lester could be found watching the N.Y. Yankee’s, N.Y. Giants or the N.J. Devils at any given time.
In addition to his wife Jody, Lester is survived by his loving daughter Jamie Lynn Carpenter. One sister, Kathleen Baur and her companion Charlie Spry of Great Meadows, NJ. Lastly, Lester is survived by many cousins, niece’s & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ, 07840. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at noon in the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Union Cemetery, Hackettstown. NJ, 07840. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.cochranfuneral.com.
