Michael L. Shields, 35 of Hackettstown, NJ passed away at his home on Friday, November 18,2016. Born in Flushing, NY Michael was the son of Thomas & Mary Williams Shields.
Viewing hours will be Monday, November 21, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ, 07840. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10:30am in St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, High Street, Hackettstown, NJ. Interment will follow at the Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, NJ. Tom _Barbara, my words are insufficient. I have such fond memories of the summer your family spent in San Diego. Michael was still a young boy and full of fun and mischief. I pray for you and your family. God bless.

Catastrophic devastation are the only two words that come to my mind I as I try to react to Tom's call to brother John. All of us Denharts along with Alice and her daughters Charlene and Georgene are just besides our selves over Michael's passing at such a young age. Our hearts, our prayers, our tears and our emotions flow unceasingly for your loss Tom and Barbara. Only those who have lost someone close to their hearts can begin to wrap their heads and hearts around such a tragedy.May God hold him especially close in his loving arms.
