Douglas G. Nichols, age 63, of Morris Plains, NJ formerly of the Delaware Water Gap, PA died Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Morris View Healthcare of Morris Plains, NJ. Mr. Nichols was born October 9, 1950 in Morristown, NJ. He is the son of the late Douglas A. and the late Maria (Carnivale) Nichols.
He was employed by Johnson Dodge, Mt. Olive Twp., NJ as a Mechanic for 20 years. Doug was a five star mechanic who enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter; Roseanne LaBar and husband Joseph; 1 sister; Marsha Allahverdi and husband Tugrul; 2 grandchildren; Gabriella and Noah and his former wife Audrey Nichols.
Visitation will be held at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 on Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 11 am – 1 pm. Services will begin at 1:00pm following visitation with the Rev. Joseph McCarthy officiating
Cremation is private. Burial of Cremains will take place at Sand Hill Cemetery located in the Village of the Shoemakers, PA at a later date.

Wish I was there to give you all hugs!! I have the best memories of summers in Hackettstown and staying at Aunt Aud's and Uncle Doug's. I love you all and miss you lots! The last trip we took while he was still pretty well was to the tatoo parlor:) XOXO Joanne
