Ellen P. Swain, 57, of Long Valley, NJ passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ. Born in Morristown, Ellen was the daughter of Helen Helke McGuire and the late James McGuire.
Ellen was employed by the CHUBB Group of Insurance in Whitehouse, NJ as an account executive. When Ellen was not working she loved nothing more than spending time with her loving family and working in her flower garden.
In addition to her Mother, Helen, Ellen is survived by her husband Michael P. Swain of Long Valley, NJ. Two daughters, Heather Janoski and her husband Jason of Long Valley, NJ; Alison Lorentson and her husband, Tom of Mansfield Twp, NJ. Four siblings, Michael, Patty, Lisa & Tielynn. Two beautiful Granddaughters, Ashley & Payton as well as a soon to be granddaughter, Annie Claire.
A visitation will take place at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St., Hackettstown, NJ from 4:00 to 8:00pm on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 10:00am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the German Valley Rural Cemetery, Nauright Road, Long Valley, NJ. My sincere condolences to Mike and family. May God grant you comfort and strength to cope day by day. When we lost my beloved niece some years ago this scripture recorded at Isaiah 25:8 was a source of great comfort. It states that God will swallow up death forever and wipe away tears from all face. That is a wonderful time to look forward.
