Grace H. Roche passed away at her home in Great Meadows on October 7, 2018.  She was born on October 27, 1923 in West New York, NJ to Rose and Pasquale Sarandria.  Grace is preceded in death by her loving husband, John, and three sisters, Evelyn, Louise and Dorothy.  She is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth Caldwell, son-in-law, Bobby, and her pride and joy, Katie Moriarty her granddaughter, and her sister, Rita Sarandria of Las Vegas.
Grace was a graduate of Battin High School in Elizabeth, NJ.  She spent most of her career at Accurate Bushing Company in Garwood, NJ, where she resided for 42 years before moving to Great Meadows in 2002. 
She met her husband, John in 1952 at Roseland Ballroom in New York City.  They thoroughly enjoyed ballroom dancing, and they danced together for many decades.  Grace was an avid sports fan and especially loved The Yankees, The Giants and The Devils.  She loved music and spent the last 16 years of her life in the music world.  A lover of animals, Grace spent many years surrounded by the family horses, dogs, cats and chickens.  Most of all she loved her family, and showered them with love, kindness and generosity.  Heaven has truly gained an angel. 

A funeral mass we be held on October 12, 2018 at St. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church at 11am.  The burial will take place at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery following the funeral mass.  Calling hours are Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Cochran Funeral Home Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown NJ 07840 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
