I just learned of your departure, John, and I wondered where you had gone. Although we only knew one another from afar, you proved to be one of the most humble and beautiful persons that I have ever met anywhere. You knew my husband and were a friend to me after his departure, and I'll never forget you. I'm broken-hearted, too, because the world is less brilliant without you in it. Rest in peace, John. You will always be missed.

I am numb. Words are failing. I knew you and your brother David, since we moved to Tennis Terrace in 1982. We moved but always stayed in touch with your mom. To have to mourn your passing is heartbreaking for everyone who knew you. Prayers and strength being sent to your family.

Writing this is one of the hardest things I have ever done. You were my first born son. Not a minute goes by when I ask why; not a minute goes by when I pray that this is just a dream and that all will be ok when I awake. But unfortunately, it is not a dream. You are gone. You left us too soon, too young, to quickly. Your smile, laugh and sense of humor will be sorely missed. Your kindness, your loving ways and you love will be sorely missed. No one can or will ever take your place in the hearts of all of us. John, we miss you. You were a loving and devoted husband to Tiffany, a loving and caring brother to David and Adrianne, and a loving and caring uncle to all your nieces and nephews. No parent should ever know the pain of losing their child. I know this is going to hurt forever. There is a new star in the heavens that shines brightly now, its name is John Anthony Yori. Until we see you again we love you. Love Mom

I have had the honor and privilege to have worked with John 16 years ago -as a UG helper, in Irvington and the Metropolitan Electric Division of PSE&G. I was a wonderful person; a colleague who was fun to be around. I learned a lot from him even when he, in turn was a student in one of the classes I train at the Edison Training and Development Center (ET&DC) @ PSE&G. His memory will stay forever in my mind. My prayers go to John's soul and his family. May his soul rest in peace.
