Terry J. Patterson, age 67, of Long Valley, NJ died Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in Scotch Plains, NJ. Terry was born July 5, 1944 in Newark, NJ. He is the husband of Edith (McWatters) Patterson and the son of Helen (Golembiewski) Patterson and the late Lester Patterson.

He was employed by Mount Olive Board Of Education as a Teacher.
Terry was a parishioner of Our Lady Of the Mountain R. C. Church, Long Valley, NJ. He was a member of the New Jersey Teachers Association; the Fishermans Association and he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and  teaching. He received his Masters Degree in Environmental Education from Montclair State University.

He is survived by his wife: Edith (McWatters) Patterson; his mother Helen (Golembiewski) Patterson; 2 Sons, James & his wife Sandi Patterson; Brian & his wife Jamie Patterson; 1 daughter, Jennifer & her husband Scott Shinkowski; 1 Brother, Peter & his wife Priscilla Patterson; 2 sisters, Susan & her husband Nick Varanelli; Pamela & her husband James Blind; 5 grandchildren, Brady, Nolan , Dylan, Connor And Samantha.



A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:30 am on Saturday, March 3 at Our Lady Of The Mountain Church, 2 E. Springtown Rd, Long Valley, NJ with Rev Msgr. Joseph Goode officiating. Interment is Private.

Calling hours will be Friday, March 2 from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady Of The Mountain R.C. Church Memorial Scholarship Fund, 2 E. Springtown Road, Long Valley, NJ 07853
