Gladys Jane (Stombaugh) Renaud, age 82, of Long Valley, NJ died Sunday, July 7, 2013 at home where she resided for the past 48 years. Gladys was born July 30, 1930 in Johnstown, PA. She is the daughter of the late Andrew C. and the late Gladys H. (Martin) Stombaugh. Gladys is also predeceased by 2 brothers; Eugene Bowers and Paul Stombaugh.
She was employed by AT&T, Morristown, NJ as an Executive Secretary for many years before retiring. Prior to that, Gladys was a Stewardess for Eastern Airlines and because of her love of aviation went on to receive her private pilots license. She also enjoyed bowling and skiing. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by 3 daughters; Karen McCart and husband Corey, Nancy Rush and husband Eric and Debbie Hill and husband Clint; 1 sister; Nancy Nowicki and husband Phil; 2 Step-sons; David Renaud and wife Janet and Dan Renaud. 3 grandchildren; Justin, Megan and Kayla.
Visitation will be held at the Treece Bennett Mortuary, Inc. 921 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown, PA 15905 on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 11 am - 1 pm. Funeral Services will be from 1:00 - 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Following service burial will be in Grand View Cemetery, Johnstown, PA.
