Rosalie Margaret Freda Davis, age 82, of the Mount Olive section of Hackettstown, NJ died Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at home, surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer disease. Rosalie was born December 26, 1935 in Madison, NJ to the late Peter and Frieda (Picone) Freda.
Rosalie was the Co-Owner with her husband John, of The After Charbroil Restaurant, Flanders, NJ. She was an avid reader, loved to cook, was a talented artist and enjoyed traveling. Most of all she loved her family, living on the Musconetcong River and spending time with her beloved husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her devoted husband, John A. Davis Sr., 2 sons, John A. Davis, Jr and companion Virginia Daniele, Daniel P. Davis and fiancée, Ginny Fondaco, a beloved daughter, Regina Marie Grohowski and husband James, a brother, Rocco "Rocky" Freda and wife Nancy, 2 sisters, Marie Sapio and husband Nick, Anne Lawless and husband Joe, 10 Grandchildren, Nicole and husband Chris , Amber, Jesse and wife Mikayla, Alina, Julia, Jenna Jeremiah, Eric and Jimmy 5 great grandchildren, Samuel, Benjamin, Nathan, Damon, Mackenzie, many nieces and nephews,.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 am on Tuesday, August 28 at Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Mary, 305 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Father Antony Arockiadoss officiating (*Friends please meet at church the morning of the funeral). Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover following the mass.
Visiting hours will be Monday, August 27 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.
For those desiring donations may be made to Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Mary, 305 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. 07840 in memory of Rosalie.

I was lucky enough to grow up as a child with someone so wonderful and compassionate as Aunt Rosalie. She had a beautiful soul, an unbreakable spirit and fought till the bitter end. She will be deeply missed but never be forgotten.

John, knowing where Rosie is now, know she is in good hands.
John, your family and friends are still fortunate to have all the memories that made Rosie the special heart giving person she still is.

Aunt Rosalie was a beautiful woman inside and out. You couldn't find a more caring individual.
