To the Szemple Family -- heartfelt sympathy to all of you on the loss of your strong, brave and kind mother and grandmother. I know she will be sorely missed. Jan(I always called her Jan) and I shared childhood memories growing up in the same Wyoming neighborhood and attending its schools I recall she was among the first in our class to drive a car and taught one of our teachers to drive. I will never forget her awesome piano playing. I would hum a tune and she could quickly play the melody. We kept in touch over the years. I will miss our phone chats. I AM SADDEN BY THE NEWS I RECEIVED I SEND MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY. I AM HONORED TO HAVE KNOWN HER AND THE FRIENDSHIP WE SHARED AS YOUNGSTERS. AS A YOUNGSTER I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH JANET AND GRADUATED WITH HER IN 1956, AS A YOUNGSTER WE OFTEN PLAYED TOGETHER, JANET LIVED ON 6TH STREET AND I LIVED ON 7TH STREET. I CAN STILL SEE US PLAYING DRESS UP IN OUR MOMS CLOTHES AND WOULD STOP FOR HER TO PLAY THE PIANO. GOD BLESS HER AND HER FAMILY.

"The melody that the loved one played upon the piano of your life will never be played quite that way again, but we must not close the keyboard and allow the instrument to gather dust. We must seek out other artists of the spirit, new friends who gradually will help us to find the road to life again, who will walk the road with us." By Rabbi Joshua Loth Liebman
