Dorothy F. Knauer, age 93, of Hackettstown died Tuesday, February 4, 2020. Dorothy was born August 1, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Mabel (Kempf) Sloane. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Knauer in 1989, her brother, Robert Locks and sister, Judy Peacock.
She was previously employed as a Manager for Abraham & Strauss, Smithtown, Long Island. She was a devoted and loving homemaker, enjoyed sewing, decorating and cooking for her family. In addition she loved going to lunch and having fun with friends.
She is survived by her devoted son, Harold, and wife Annette Knauer of Hackettstown, NJ, her cherished granddaughter, Cindy, and her husband Kevin Danielson of Hackettstown, NJ, two great grandsons, Kyle and Ryan Danielson, and a sister, June Callahan.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Rev. Donald Gebhard officiating.
