John W. Borino, MD, age 98, of Allamuchy Township, Great Meadows, NJ died Saturday, April 14, 2012 at home in Great Meadows. John was born June 3, 1913 in Chicago, ILL. He is the son of the late John and Marie (Pagliarulo) Borino. He was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Beatrice C. (DiDominico) Borino in December, 2011.

He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Mountain R.C. Church, Long Valley, NJ. He was a graduate of Loyola University in Chicago, IL and the University of Texas where he received his M.D. He was a member of many medical associations. Dr. Borino started his practice in Newark, NJ, eventually moving his practice to Hackettstown, NJ and seeing patients well into his 70's before retiring. Dr. Borino proudly served in the United States Navy from 1944-1946 in the South Pacific.                                                                                                                
He is survived by a son, John A. Borino of North Haledon, NJ, a daughter, Paula Borino of Brodheadsville, PA, and 8 Grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Friday, April 20 at St. Mary's Church Of The Assumption, 305 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. Burial will be in Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ following the mass.

Calling hours will be Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
