Robert D. Peterson, 90, of Hackettstown, NJ died on Saturday, August 11, 2013 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. Robert was born in Mount Arlington, NJ on July 21, 1923 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Peterson. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan (Garlick) Peterson.
Robert lived most of his life in the Hackettstown, NJ area, spending the last 10 years at the House of the Good Shepherd in Hackettstown, NJ. He served in the United States Army. He was employed as a Conductor with the New Jersey Transit for 30 years. Robert was a parishioner at St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, Hackettstown, NJ.
He is survived by 3 sisters, Grace Garrigus, Lorraine Snedden and Doris Rutkoski, a grandson, Albert and his wife Dawn. He was predeceased by a daughter, Joan Bart.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St., Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
Interment is private.
