C. Alan Pitt, 80, of Vienna, (Independence Township) NJ died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 with his loving wife at his side at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Hackettstown, N.J. He was born May 26, 1932 in Vienna, NJ. He is the son of the late Floyd and Celia (Pyle) Pitt. He is survived by his wife, Shirley T. (White) Pitt.

He proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1952 to 1956. He retired from Jersey Central Power & Light, Morristown, NJ as a Supervisor in the Accounting Department after 34 years on May 31, 1994.
He was a lifelong resident of Vienna; member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Hackettstown, NJ; graduate of Hackettstown High School, Class of 1949; graduate of Churchman Business College, Class of 1951 and graduate of Centenary College, with a BS in Business Administration/Management in May 1982. He was former treasurer of the Pequest Union Cemetery in Great Meadows, NJ from 1996 to 2011.

He is survived by his wife: Shirley T. (White) Pitt ; daughter & husband, Sharon A. & Gene Campagnola, Kendall Park, NJ; son & wife, Steven D. & Diana Pitt, Draper, UT;  brother & wife, R. Gordon & Jane Pitt, Little Egg Harbor, NJ; 2 Grandchildren, Grandaughter Jennifer & Fiance Michael and Grandson Christopher.

The funeral will be held 10:30 am on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J with Rev. Joseph McCarthy officiating. Burial will be in Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows, NJ

Calling hours will be Monday, January 7, 2013 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to either Trinity United Methodist Church, 213 Main St., Hackettstown, NJ or The Parkinson Foundation, 1501 North West 9th Ave., Miami, FL 33136.
