George F. Fescko

George F. Fescko, age 93, of Hackettstown, formerly of Parsippany, NJ died Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Hackettstown, NJ.  George was born September 3, 1921 in Columbus, OH. He is the son of the late John G. and Helen (Seeman) Fescko. His beloved wife Dolores (Zentz) Fescko, passed away in 1992, and son, Douglas Fescko, passed away in 1975.

He served in the Navy during World War II from 1942 to 1945 on Guadalcanal.  He was employed by Newark Paraffin Co., Newark, NJ as a Forman. 

George was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #943, Butler, NJ, also a former member of the Lions Club, Butler, NJ. He was an avid Jets fan who came from a large family consisting of 8 brothers and sisters. George later in life blessed with his own family and his greatest joy came from spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by 2 Daughters; Paula Conklin and her husband George of Hackettstown, NJ, and Judy Carmen of PA, 1 sister; Margaret “Peggy” Walker of AL, 5 grandchildren; Dana Jensen, Desirae Nigro, Lori Formisano, Dwayne Frazier, Gregg Conklin, 6 great grandsons; Bryan, Matthew, Joseph, Gavin, Blake, Logan and one great grandson on the way.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Our Lady Of Magnificat Chapel, 2 Miller Road, Kinnelon, NJ, 07405 with Msgr. John J. Carroll officiating.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Magnificat Cemetery following the funeral service.

Calling hours will be Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. 07840.
