I have many fond memories of Mrs. Garry. She was a happy and cheerful person. I always enjoyed their visits. My mother Maureen Kerick and Mrs. Garry had so much in common, being from Catholic backgrounds and growing up in Jersey City. Mr. Garry and my father, Joseph Kerick were both public school teachers. When our families got together it was never quiet! My 5 siblings and I enjoyed playing with Patty Ann and Kevin(I believe he is the one we put down the laundry chute). I remember when the Colonial Musketeers were just starting out-The Garry's were always there. I believe this was where Kevin began his career as a percussionist. I loved hanging out with Patty Ann when we were children. She was like having another sister. Mrs. Garry did some babysitting for my daughter, Alexandra, (who is now 21 years old), when she was a small child. She was a loving and wonderful caregiver. I also remember her commenting on what a happy baby my son Sean was. She enjoyed and loved children. I imagine she made an awesome grandmother. Despite her obviously painful and crippling arthritis Mrs. Garry always put on a brave front when I saw her. She is a great lady and I have fond memories of her and her family that will last for my lifetime.
