James Bardwell Purcell, age 74, of Hackettstown, NJ died Friday, June 12, 2015 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. James was born March 7, 1941 in Manhattan, NY. He is the son of the late John and Julia (Bardwell) Purcell. In addition to his parents James is preceded in death by 1 brother; John.
James served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He was the owner/operator of J.B. Purcell, L.L.C., he was an avid reader and a loving grandpa, father and husband.
He is survived by his wife: Nancy (Nelson) Purcell, daughter; Pamela Purcell-Turner and husband Michael, 1 brother; Jeffery Purcell, 2 grandchildren, Julia and Collin Turner and his beloved pet; Dolly.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 10:30 to 11 am. A funeral service begin at 11:00 am following visitation at the Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Pastor Tim VanSumeren officiating. Entombment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cornerstone Evangelical Church, 411 March Street, Easton Pa, 18042 in memory of James.

Nancy, I cannot attend on Saturday.
You and Jim had a good life together. He is at peace and journeyed to be with the Lord. My condolences to the family.
