Margaret Brisco Cheney

Margaret Brisco Cheney, 93, of Washington Township (Morris Co.), NJ died on March 23, 2013 at Heath Village Retirement Community. Born on July 18, 1919 in Iowa City, Iowa to the late Norris and Mae (Bartlett) Brisco. She was predeceased by her late husband, Charles P. Cheney and two daughters, Jill Bartlett Cheney and Christine Cheney Price.
Margaret and Charles raised their family in Basking Ridge, NJ before retiring to Newbury, Vermont in 1974. They returned toj New Jersey in 2003 which is where her busban died in 2005. She remained at Heath Village. Margaret volunteered at the Heath Village Library; enjoyed needlepoint and loved to garden.
Surviving are two daughters; Susan and husband Benjamin Dyer; Carole and husband Robert Webber;seven grandchildren, Megan Rebelo, Jay Dyer, Charlie Webber, Robert Webber, Margaret Smith, Jillian Price and Scott Price, Jr.; three great grandchildren, Paige, Emily, Brooke and nieces and nephews.
Services and interment are private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested by the family to either the Friendship Club or the Library at Heath Village, 430 Schooley's Mountain Road, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
Arrangements are by the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St., Hackttstown, NJ 07840
