Elsie Marie Zebrick, 95, of Hackettstown, NJ, passed away at House of the Good Shepherd, Hackettstown, NJ on Thursday, December 20, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Born February 2, 1923 in Springfield Gardens, NY, Marie was the daughter of the late Frederick L. & Elsie D. Ahrens Heil. Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 11:00 to 12:00pm at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 409 East Baldwin Street, Hackettstown, NJ, 07840. Funeral services will begin at noon in the church. Interment will be on Monday December 31, 2018 at 11:00am in the Hollywood Memorial Park, Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Gethsemane Lutheran Church, The American Cancer Society or the Tri-County Fire Department, Route 57, Mansfield Twp, NJ. Marie and her husband, John, were our next door neighbors for many years when we lived in Hackettstown. They were always very loving and kind and like grandparents to our children when they were growing up.

Marie was a long time member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church In Hackettstown. Friendly, kind, and welcoming to those she met. Marie was also a long time member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) and helped and participated in many of the mission activities at the church. It was a pleasure knowing her. Rest In Peace sweet Marie.

Marie was a wonderful friend to me and to many others. She is now where she wanted to be. Rest in peace, Marie. Will miss you.
