Helen  Scrivanich

Helen Scrivanich, 94, of Hoboken, NJ died in Hackettstown, NJ at the home of her son and daughter in law who lovingly cared for her during her illness.  She was born in Manhattan, NY on August 17, 1919 to the late Edwardo and Jennie (Marchiano) Guido.  She was predeceased by her husband, Matthew Scrivanich, Sr.

Helen was a graduate of Lyndhurst High School, Lyndhurst, NJ.  She was of the Catholic faith.  Helen (formerly) worked as an E.R. Aide at St. Mary's Hospital in Hoboken, NJ and previously worked as a factory worker for the Bendix Corporation, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ.  Helen enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

Survivors include her sons, Matthew and his wife Lena Scrivanich and Edward Scrivanich; a sister, Pat Knapp; grandaughter Dara Orvasky and her husband Bob; grandson Matthew Scrivanich; great grandchildren Robbie and Matthew Orvasky; many nieces and nephews;  she was predeceased by a son, William in 1983; brothers, Sylvester, Frederick and Nicholas and sisters Geraldine, Rose and Edith.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014, 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St., Hackettstown, NJ 07840.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014, 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Church, 324 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ.

Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ following the Funeral Mass.
