He served in the Air Force during the Korean war from 1952 to 1955. He was previously employed by Secaucus Postal Service, Secaucus, NJ as a Mail Handler retiring many years ago. Bill was an avid reader, finishing a book every week, he had a photographic memory and spoke German fluently. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, loved sports, especially baseball and researched African American History. Bill will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vivian (Doe) Lash, his daughter, Dr. Deirdre Habermehl, 3 Grandchildren: Brittany, Nicole and Brooks, a nephew, Les Henson and wife Gwendolyn, a Godson, Pacorh Patimetha, Cousins, Vivian, Janice, Helen And Betty
Cremation is private. Memorial service at Trinity United Methodist Church, Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 2pm.
