Frankenfield
Robert C. Frankenfield, age 71, lifelong resident of Vienna, NJ, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center of Hackettstown, N.J.. Bob was born August 1, 1944 at All Souls Hospital, Morristown, NJ. He is the son of the late Walter R. and Phoebe (Tichenor) Frankenfield. A 1963 graduate of Hackettstown High School, Bob served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971 stationed in Fort Dix and Germany. Spending most of his working years, first at Cory Truck Repair and then with Mid Atlantic Xpress, Bob worked as a truck driver, diesel mechanic and welder. Since retirement, he was busy contemplating life while sitting on his stool on his back porch, mowing his lawn, attending his noon time meetings with his buddies at JP Kelly’s and lovingly harassing "his girls". Bob was a man of strong integrity; he was honest and fiercely loyal. He kept informed with today’s political issues. He was very intuitive about people and he gave unconditional love to those closest to him. Bob loved to dance and enjoyed music by Sinatra, from Motown and the 60's. Bob had a great passion for anything to do with the Titanic and the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan. And he was not beyond expressing a strong opinion, whether they were welcome or not, if he felt compelled to speak up. He is survived by; "his girls" daughter Tammy Yurcik, his companion of 15 years Sandy Cortright and his granddaughter Isabella "Fred" Yurcik. Also, his son-in-law David Yurcik of Andover, NJ and two stepsons; Edward Wyker and his wife Teresa of Vienna, NJ and Thomas Wyker and his companion Eileen Reuter of Mt. Bethel, PA. In addition, three step-granddaughters; Kristen Cutro and her husband Nicholas, Jessica Wyker and Natasha Torr and her husband Tyler; and  five step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Jennifer Scott, husband PJ and their children Lauryn and Madelyn of Hudsonville, MI.  He was predeceased by his loving wife of 26 years Dorothy (Snyder) Frankenfield, his sister and brother, Betty and Richard Frankenfield and two step-sons, Brian and Scott Wyker. The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Tuesday, February 23 at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Rev. Joseph McCarthy officiating. Burial will be in Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows on Tuesday, February 23 at 1:00 pm. Calling hours will be Monday, February 22 from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J.. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Independence Twsp. To help you through this time a few words that help: Don't mourn the absence of the flame - Celebrate how brightly it glowed. May he rest in peace and may your sorrow turn to warm and loving memories.
