I can't believe my brother is gone. At only 56 years old, it was way to soon. The thing that breaks my heart most, is that Robert was at a place in his life where he was so happy. He was enjoying his family and looking forward to the future. It's so sad that he didn't get more time to enjoy those moments. I looked forward to our nightly chats when I visited my mom, and will miss him terribly every time I walk into my mom's house. It was heartwarming to see what a great turnout he got at the wake. I think that he would have been happy, and he would have certainly been so proud of his son, Robert who was the light of his life.

There is no way to put into words the extreme sadness and shock that my family members and I are experiencing over losing my uncle so soon and unexpectedly. He is truly missed already and will continue to be missed each day as our lives go on. He loved his family so deeply, especially his mother, who he cared for every day, his son, and his grandchildren. He was a wonderful and loving uncle as well, always so proud and supportive of his nieces and nephews as we grew up. My niece Emily loved to play with him every weekend and will miss him terribly. My heart breaks for my grandmother, whose life will change dramatically with the loss of her only son. I am also very sorry for my mother and aunts, for as sad as I am over the loss of uncle, losing a sibling is something I cannot even begin to imagine. My loved ones and I take comfort in the fact that my Uncle Robert is resting peacefully with my grandpa, surely looking down over us all.

Already miss my brother so much. He will be sorely missed by all of us. In recent years his whole life was about his family and we will not be the same without him. He took great care of my mom, had so much pride in his son and his grand daughters and was a really good uncle to his nieces and nephews. Emily especially will miss him terribly. Because he was the oldest and I was the youngest we always had a special bond. As we got older my brother and I got closer and became better friends each day. I was not prepared to lose him so soon. I know life will go on but it will never be the same without him.
