Harold J. Darst, 86, of Hackettstown, NJ died on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. Born in Langsville, Ohio on November 20, 1926 to the late Cyrus Phillip and Elizabeth Mae (Thomas) Darst. He is survived by his wife, Avis June (Crowley) Darst at home.
Harold held a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and was an Electrical Design Engineer for Singer-Kearfott in Wayne, NJ prior to his retirement at age 65. Harold proudly served in the United States Navy during WW II.
In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by two sons, Steve M. Darst, Apex, NC and Larry M. & June Darst, Hackettstown, NJ; three daughters Catherine Martinez, Carolyn & Frank Enzinna and Cheryl Benson; 11 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be Private at Hackettstown Union Cemetery under the direction of the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St., Hackettstown, NJ. online condolences may be sent to www.cochranfuneral.com
