Elaine M. Delano Brace Sigler, age 87, of Hackettstown, NJ died Friday, March 23, 2012 at Heath Village of Hackettstown, N.J.. Elaine was born November 4, 1924 in Providence, RI. She was the daughter of the late Archie Richardson MacDonald and the late Edna May (Loxley) MacDonald. At the age of 16, the family moved to Greene, RI. Elaine earned her BS at the University of Rhode Island, where she was a member of the Lambda Beta Chapter of Chi Omega, and her MS at Simmons College in Boston, MA.
She moved to Bloomingdale, NJ in 1959, where she was a member of Butler United Methodist Church and held various offices in both local and district levels of the United Methodist Women. In 1962 Elaine and her husband, James K. Delano, moved to Newfoundland, NJ. Following the death of her husband, Elaine commuted to Hackettstown, NJ where she worked as a college teacher and was the Chairman of the Fashion Merchandising Department of Centenary College. She also volunteered in the health care unit of Methodist Manor in Branchville, NJ.
Elaine married Edward S. Brace in 1970, and after his death, she eventually moved to Heath Village in Hackettstown, NJ. Elaine served as president of Martha Circle of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a member of Friendly Visitors at Heath Village. She married Robert Sigler of Heath Village in 1996. Elaine was predeceased by her first husband, James K. Delano, her second husband, Edward S. Brace, and her third husband, Robert Sigler. She is survived by her Step-Daughter, Karen Brace Weber, 5 Step-Grandchildren, Barbara Weber Moritz, John Weber, William Weber, James Weber and Laura Weber Stamberger, and 15 Step-Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her cousin, Rosslyn Mulley, of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England.

A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced at Heath Village, 430 Schooley's Mountain Road, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
