Peter J Gonzalez, Jr., age 27, of Great Meadows, NJ died Friday, February 26, 2016 at home. Peter was born March 18, 1988 in Long Island, NY. He is the son of Anita (Mauriello) Gonzalez and the late Peter J. Gonzalez, Sr. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his grandmother; Stella Mauriello and his paternal grandparents; Catherine and Dominick Mancuso.
He was employed by Dill Plumbing, Hackettstown NJ as an Apprentice. In addition, Peter was a MMA Trainer but most of all he was a devoted father and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son; Peter J Gonzalez III; his mother Anita (Mauriello) Gonzalez, his dear friend; Maggie Collins, 1 sister; Lynda Gonzalez, maternal grandfather; Vincent Mauriello and his wife Victoria, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 2 at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ. Burial will follow at Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 1 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.

Not only was Pete a wonderful Father, and mentor, he was a great friend to many. The loss of him is a huge loss to the community. I'm so sorry for his family.
