 Margot H. Best, age 93, of Hackettstown died Monday, February 11, 2019 at home.  Margot was born November 23, 1925 to the late Kurt and Marie (Wendler) Freund.  In addition to her parents, Margot is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Best in 1989. 

Margot was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her loving family. She was an avid reader, was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed volunteering at the Trinity Thrift store.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Louise Gaylord, Margo Johnson, her grandson, Robert Johnson and wife Doreen and her cherished great grandson, Tyler Johnson.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.  Burial will follow at Stanhope Union Cemetery, Stanhope, NJ at a later date.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Karen Ann Quilan Hospice Foundation, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860 in memory of Margot.

Margot will be missed, my favorite memory is making a call to the house to talk about something scouting.. She and I would talk forever, only to find out I had forgotten to whom and why I called in the first place...LoL
