BEACHWOOD, NJ - Frank X. Kurilla, 62 of Beachwood, NJ passed away Saturday, November 24at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ.

Born in Kingston, PA to John and Julia Hetro Kurilla he lived in Swoyersville, PA and later in Wilkes-Barre, PA until moving to Beachwood with his family in 1984.

Frank or "Frannie" as he was known by his closest friends, attended King's College in Wilkes-Barre where he was a member of their 1970 National Championship Club Football team. He first met his beloved wife JoAnn Plesic in 1976 and the two were engaged within 6 months of meeting each other. He has since been working for IBM for over the past 30 years.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife JoAnn of nearly 25 years, his brothers John, Andrew, Joseph and sister Mary Nardone. Surviving are his sons Anthony and his fiance Sarah, Beachwood, NJ; Frank, Jr. and his wife Tanya, Hackettstown, NJ; brother Michael and his wife Kathy, Swoyersville; three grandaughters and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday, December 1st, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (formerly Holy Trinity) 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, PA 18704 with a viewing at 10:00 AM followed immediately by a Mass at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers the family would ask friends and family to consider a donation to the American Diabetes Association or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
