 Deborah S. Evans, age 83, of Hackettstown formerly of Glen Ridge, NJ died peacefully Friday, October 27, 2017 at her home in Heath Village, Hackettstown.  Ms. Evans was born August 26, 1934 in Bayonne, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Charles F and Katherine (Suckow) Snover.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Evans in 2012. 

She was formerly employed by Montclair Academy, Montclair, NJ as a Librarian retiring many years ago.  Deborah was a graduate of Wellesley College, where she remained an active supporter of her Alma Mater.  She was a former member of Christ Church, Bloomfield, NJ.  Deborah was an avid reader, she loved and enjoyed all types of book genres, she was also very passionate about environmental issues.  

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Katherine L. Evans, her loving son, Jeff Evans and wife Diana and 2 grandchildren; Charles and Emily.

Cremation was private.  A memorial will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.
