William J. Ulrichny, Sr., age 94, passed away, Sunday, February 3, 2013 at House Of The Good Shepherd of Hackettstown, NJ one week after his 94th birthday.  Mr. Ulrichny was born January 27, 1919 in Newark, NJ. He is the son of the late George and the late Anna (Boeslager) Ulrichny.  Bill was also predeceased by his wife, Edna A. (Ullrich) Ulrichny who passed 2 days after her 88th birthday in 2008.

Bill served as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army during World War II from 1942 to 1946.  He was employed by Fostners, Irvington, NJ as a Purchasing Agent for many years. He loved fishing, wood carving, photography, building and flying model airplanes and working on his computer.  He will be remembered for his “hands-on” approach to life and his sense of humor.  His final comment to everyone would be that he has simply “Gone Fishing”. 

William is survived by his daughter; Cathy Lynn Ulrichny and her husband Bob Vander Clock of Hardwick, NJ, his son; William Ulrichny and his wife Elaine of Whitehall, Montana, his sister; Carolyn Moyer of Lanoka Harbor, NJ and his brother; George Ulrichny of Stuart, FL.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 3:30 pm in the Memorial Chapel of the House of the Good Shepherd, 798 Willow Grove Street, Hackettstown, NJ with Rev. Jeanette Hile officiating.  Bill will be Entombed next to his wife, Edna at the Hackettstown Union Cemetery Mausoleum at the convenience of the family.

BILL and family just happen to have seen the notice of your Dads passing. I see you follow in his foot steps when it came to fishing.at 94 that's a nice run. You may remember me from the Roselle class of 64.anyway be well.
