John T. Strowbridge, Jr., 90 , died  06/29/07 in  his summer home in Long Lake, NY.  John lived in  Hackettstown, NJ all of his life and was born in Hackettstown, NJ on 04/28/17.

Occupation: In the late 1940's, Jack worked at the Hershey Creamery branch in Hackettstown and later began his 32 year employment at the United States Postal Service, where he remained until his retirement in 1980.

Veteran Info: He served in the United States Navy during WW II and was stationed in Trinidad.

Additional Information:  He was a graduate of Hackettstown High School; he was a 50 year member and past Master of the Independence Lodge No 42, F.& A.M., and past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, both of Hackettstown. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hackettstown; the Tall Cedars of Lebanon of North America; AARP; the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and of the Blue Ridge American Legion Post #164 for over 60 years. He donated blood to the American Red Cross for many years.

Visitation: Thursday, July 5, 2007, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Masonic Service will be held at 7:30 PM and American Legion Service at 7:45 PM.

Services: Friday, July 6, 2007, 11:00 AM- Cochran Funeral Home

In Lieu of Flowers: The family requests contributions to be made to the Hackettstown Rescue Squad.

Interment: Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows, NJ
