Additional Information:  Georgette led a very active Professional, Civic and Charitable life including: Professional Accomplishments (all of NJ)-First Woman president, Ironbound Assoc., Newark; President, Executive Assoc.; Treasurer, Essex Co. NJAWBO; Board Trustee, Link School, Newark; Board Trustee, Newark Rotary (the first female member). Community Involvement-Member, Warren Co. Regional Chamber of Commerce; Member of Madison Rotary Club; Board Chair, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren Co.(19 as board member, 6 years board chair, Honorary Chair, organization's 20th anniversary celebration fundraiser; Founding member of United Way Leadership Council, started 2007, providing scholarships for women in transition. As a leading business woman in a previously male dominated field, Georgette was committed to mentoring women. As a member of the Executive Assoc. of NJ, a business networking group admitting one person from each industry, it allowed her the opportunity to mentor and guide new members throughout the association. As an executive, Georgette always looked for the opportunity to develop women. Additionally, there are many women that were indirectly impacted by Georgette through the years that she served on the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Crisis Center board and then as president. During her tenure on the board the organization opened the first women's transitional housing unit in Warren Co. and overcame challenges that enabled the organization to expand and ensure financial stability. At her place of business, the majority of employees over the years were female. Georgette was a true friend to family, friends and associates. She often took individuals under her wing, providing guidance and friendship, never asking for anything in return. Her loyalty to friendship and her commitment to the community was unparalleled, as she was active with a number of non-profits, directly or indirectly. If you needed something, Georgette was someone you could always count on.
