Robert Dutcher Molloy, 90 years young , died 02/18/09 in Morristown Memorial Hospital peacefully after the end of a very full and active life marked by caring for other people. Robert lived in Morristown where he grew up. and was born in East Orange, NJ on 07/12/18.

Occupation: He joined the Ballentine Lumber Company, Long Valley, NJ after returning from WW II. He then joined the Peoples National Bank and several other local banks. Coming out of retirement he became the Violations Clerk for Washington Township (Morris Co.)Long Valley, NJ
Veteran Info: Called to army duty he was selected to attend Officers Training School and commissioned a 2nd LT. in the Quartermaster Corps. Participating in the Normandy invasion, his company was part of the "Red Ball Express" which enabled General Patton to streak across Europe.
Additional Information: He was a graduate of Morristown High School in 1936. He attended Johns Hopkins University before joining the Manhattan Savings Bank in New York. Bob had a great outreach and was very interested in other people. More than fifty years ago he was a founder of the Long Valley First-Aid Squad. He was also among the founding families of The Church of the Messiah in Chester. For a number of years he has been Vice-President of the German Valley Cemetery Association.
