Gerard W. Ford, 90 , died  12/9/11 in  House of the Good Shepherd, Hackettstown, N.J..  Gerard lived in  Hackettstown, N.J. for the past 7yrs. coming from Sag Harbor, Long Island, N.Y. and was born in Queens, N.Y.  on September 16, 1921.

Occupation: Mr. Ford retired many years ago as an electrical contractor and was the founder of G. Ford Electric, Inc., Glenwood Landing, N.Y. since 1947

Veteran Info: He was a veteran of WWII from 1942 to 1945 serving in the Merchant Marines and served as chief electrician at Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy.

Additional Information:  Gerard was former president of the Nassau Electric League of Long Island, N.Y. An avid musician, he also enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and boating with family and friends. He was a very active member of the Hackettstown American Legion Blue Ridge Post 164, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #816, and the Joyce Kilmer Council of the Knights of Columbus,Hackettstown.

Visitation: Wed. 12-14-11 from 11:30 to 1pm at the funeral home

Services: 1:30pm Wed. 12-14-11- St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, Hackettstown, N.J.
