Strowbridge, Priscilla E. January 31, 1949 - May 11, 2022

Date of Funeral

May 18, 2022

Priscilla Evelyn Strowbridge passed away quietly on May 11, 2022, going home to the Lord while surrounded by her loving family. Priscilla was born on January 31, 1949 in Orange, New Jersey to the late Samuel A. and Dorothy (nee Goldsmith) Sweatt. Priscilla was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Mal L. Strowbridge and brother, Samuel G. “Teddy” Sweatt.

She is survived by her sister Dorothy L. Dalley, sons Kyle L. and Jared J. Strowbridge, daughter Sheila D. Wiles and Son-In-Law, William B. Wiles III. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Malorie S., Logan B., and Wyatt R. Wiles, Brielle R. Strowbridge and niece Diana A. Gardner.

As well as being a homemaker, Priscilla earned a nursing degree, graduating from Warren County Technical School after her graduation from high school. She had several employers throughout her career, her last being Loving Hands, LLC, where she cared for patients at private duty nursing cases.

Priscilla loved her time spent with family at Point Pleasant Beach in New Jersey and was an enthusiastic reader. She enjoyed reading about a wide variety of topics, but closest to her heart and soul was any literature based on the teachings found within the Holy Bible. She loved to attend Scottish cultural events and had a lifelong fondness for music, especially the traditional songs found within church hymnals. She also had an affinity for dark chocolate and an undying love for her Scottish Terriers.

In her youth, Priscilla had accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at Word of Life Camp at Schroon Lake, New York. She was also a current and long standing member of Christ Baptist Church in Columbia, New Jersey.

The greatest joy in her life, was any opportunity to tell people she met about her relationship with Jesus Christ her savior, and about the salvation and eternal life available to all who seek him.

Visitation and viewing hours for everyone will be held at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street Hackettstown, New Jersey 07840 from 4-8pm on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
