Virginia Skutnik, formerly of Hackettstown, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday July 3rd at the age of 92.  The daughter of George and Emily Fish, Virginia was born on May 18, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore, who passed away in 1986.  She was the loving mother and mother in law of Joyce & Henry Cullen, Cary, NC; Lynn & Daniel Sladovich, Township of Washington, NJ; Karen & Wayne Smith, Andover, NJ; Gary & Kristina Skutnik, Sewell, NJ.  Also survived by granchildren Michael Cullen and Denise Cullen Lazarczyk, Brian and Dana Sladovich, Cody and Timothy Smith, David and Matthew Skutnik and great grandchildren Shane, Amanda, Hailey, Anthony, Emma, Liam and Landon.

Virginia & Ted moved from Brooklyn, NY to Hillsdale, NJ in 1950 where they lived until 1979.  They retired to Sun City West, AZ where Virginia remained until 2001.  She then lived in Hackettstown and Oxford, NJ.

She was a member of Emmanuel Bible Church, Long Valley, NJ.  Previously she was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Woodcliff Lake, NJ (where she also worked as church office secretary for nine years) and American Lutheran Church of Sun City, AZ.

Viewing Thursday evening July 7th from 6-9 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St., Hackettstown, NJ 07840.  Friday morning there will be a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 both at Emmanuel Bible Church, 3 Pleasant Grove Rd., Long Valley (Schooleys Mountain), NJ 07870.
