 Larry L. Clark, Sr., 81, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020 from COVID-19 complications. Larry was born on October 22, 1938 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and was the son of the late Vernon Clark and Ruby McBride Gale. Larry was the loving husband to the late Grace Andersen Clark, who predeceased him in 2008.

Larry was a 1957 graduate of Lyndhurst High School. Upon graduation, he joined the United States Army and served from 1957 to 1959. Following his time in the service, Larry worked as a special patrol officer for the Chester Township Police Department and as a mover for Hemming’s Mayflower Moving and Storage. He owned the Valley Pit Stop in Long Valley, as well as G&L Trucking, which he owned and operated until 1982 when he went to work as an over-the-road truck driver and mover for Budd Van Lines for 25 years. Larry would often regale tales about his travels and was fortunate enough to visit almost every state in the country. He had a love of football, being a lifelong fan of the New York Giants, and was a sportsman race car driver at Flemington Speedway, piloting the GL 21 and 35.

Larry is survived by his daughter Tina Cook and her husband, Marc, of Long Valley, and his sons Douglas Clark of Long Valley, Larry Clark Jr. and his wife, JoAnn, of Kunkletown, PA, Randy Clark of Chester, and Keith Clark of Belvidere. He is also survived by his grandchildren Edward (Sarina), Nicole (David), Kevin, Tonya (Nick), Amber (Matthew), Paige (Steve), Larry III (Ehrin), Brianna (Karl), Brandon (Ashlee), and Tristan, as well as his great-grandchildren Kyle, Riley, Jack, Gianna, Isabella, Sloan, Molly, James, Juliana, and Cian.

In addition to his parents and wife, Larry was also predeceased by his daughter Diane Clark Strait, daughter Patricia Clark Boudreau, and brother Edward Hall.

We remember Larry from all our years together racing at the Flemington Speedway and being a neighbor from Coleman Rd. Our sympathy goes out to all the family.

Tina, I’m so sorry about your dad. I only knew him for the past two years working with him but he was wonderful man. He never failed to make me laugh. I will miss his never ending jokes and him always teasing me for being an Eagles fan. You and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers.

My father and his twin brother raced at flemington. There names were Larry and lee. Because of that I always remembered your father although I didn’t know him personally always wished him well.
