John F. Rodriguez, age 52 and Dawn D. Rodriguez, age 49 of Hackettstown, NJ died Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Mr. And Ms. Rodriguez were both born in New York City, NY.  

Dawn was employed by the Bank of New York, Somerset, NJ as a Manager and, John was employed as an Iron Worker and a member of Union Local #46, Manhattan, NY. Together they worked hard to create a beautiful and loving home for their beloved children, Selena and Victor.

They are survived by their children, Selena Nicole and Victor James, Dawn’s mother, Anne Lakely, John’s mother, Mary Rodriguez, Dawn’s brother, James Lakely and his wife Karen, John’s brother, Mark A. Rodriguez and his wife Ann, his 2 sisters, Tara A. Jennings and her husband Rich,  and sister Elena M. Rodriguez, several nieces and nephews.

Dawn and John were preceded in death by Dawn’s father, Hugh Lakely and John’s father, Eli Rodriguez.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 am on Tuesday, January 23 at St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, 305 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Father Antony Arockiadoss officiating. Cremation will be private.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 4-8 pm and Monday, January 22, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ. Online condolences may be made at www.cochranfuneral.com

Dawn was one of the best colleagues to work with at BNYM. I am deeply saddened by the loss of Dawn and her husband John. My condolence to their family. They will be truly missed.
