Mildred J. Zino, 93, of Hackettstown, NJ died Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Hackettstown, NJ. Born October 10, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louis & Louisa Zanotti.
Mildred has lived in the Hackettstown area since 1990 moving from Elizabeth, NJ and grew up in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn, NY where she met her beloved, late husband, Peter J. Zino who died in 2007. Mrs. Zino retired several years ago as an office manager for the Secret Service in Newark, NJ. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church of the Assumption in Hackettstown and a member of the church Rosary Society.
Mrs. Zino is survived by five children; Son Charles Zino of Independence Twp., NJ. Three daughters, Margaret Doscher of Hopkintown, NH, Louise Schneider of Cranford, NJ, Christine Milne of Edison, NJ and Paula Canovas of Canadensis, Pa. Mildred is also survived by 10 loving grandchildren & 11 Great-grandchildren.
Viewing hours will be Friday, 2-13-15 from 4-9pm at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ, 07840. A mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, 2-14-15 at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Church of the Assumption in Hackettstown. Entombment at the conclusion of the mass will be in the Newton Cemetery, Newton, NJ.
