Joseph F. Tierney, 80 of Hackettstown died Friday May 15, 2020 at his residence.
Born in Brooklyn, New York he was the son of the late Thomas and Alice(Feeney) Tierney.
Joe had been an assistant vice president for Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City before retiring.
His main interest was his grandchildren, he was called "Papa Joe" by those that knew him.
He was also an avid sports fan, the Brooklyn Dodgers, the NY Mets and the NY Giants were his favorites.
He was a member of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Hackettstown,
Joe is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Parisi) Tierney, 2 sons, Steven and his wife Deborah and Joseph, a sister Alice Walsh and his 5 beloved grandchildren, Kyle, Shannon, Caeley, Emily and Maria.
A memorial mass will be held when it is again safe to gather together.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, a charity joe supported for many years would be greatly appreciated.
