Gunvor "Gunnie" Silvani

Gunvor (Gunnie) Silvani, aged 100 years, died on October 27, 2018. Gunnie was born on May 9, 1918 in Hovas, Sweden. She moved to the United States when she was 35, and married Rocco Silvani 2 years after her arrival. Rocco sadly passed away in 2009 leaving a whole in her heart. She was an avid gardener, and gourmet baker and cook. Sewing, knitting and crossword puzzles were her favorite pastimes, along with Skandanavian folk dancing.
Gunnie is survived by her two daughters, Pia Silvani from Weaverville, NC and Inga Lutz, along with her son-in-law, Tom Lutz (from Great Meadows, N.J.) and two grandsons, Bob Lutz (now living in California) and Ryan Lutz (from Allamuchy, NJ).
She had a long, joyful life. A private service will be held with her family on Tuesday morning.
