Audrey Brown Sypniewski, age 88, of Port Murray, grew up in Vineland, NJ then moved to Plainfield NJ where she married her husband on April 19,1952. Then moved to Hackettstown, NJ in 1970. She passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. Audrey was born November 25, 1930 in Vineland, NJ the 5th child of the late John W. and Grace (Vernel) Brown, Sr. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph T. Sypniewski, Sr. who passed away on Dec. 27, 1996, and her 6 siblings, Cliff, Ray, Jack, Ted, Everett and Louise.
Audrey was a loving homemaker, enjoyed doing puzzles, loved baseball and football, her favorite teams were the NY Mets and NY Jets. She was a founding member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Hackettstown, NJ
Audrey is survived by her devoted daughter, Judy Sypniewski and her companion John Palotas, her two loving sons, Joseph “Joe” Sypniewski, Jr. and his wife Patricia “Pat”, Thomas “Tommy” Sypniewski and wife Nancy, five grandchildren, Thomas, Matthew, Brian, Joseph and Amanda, 6 great grandchildren, Lilly, Gracie, Elijah, Zachary, Breanna and Hadley.
The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, January 3 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Pastor Steven Lee officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Hackettstown following services.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.
