 Albert Francis Riley, age 87, of Long Valley, formerly of Toms River and Jersey City, NJ died Monday, May 4, 2020.  Albert was born May 10, 1932 in Jersey City, NJ. He is the son of the late James and the late Ann (Kretchman) Riley.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Weber.
 
He proudly served in the Navy during the Korean War from 1952 to 1956.  He retired from the NJ Real Estate Commission.  Albert was a lifetime member of the VFW, Jersey City, NJ, enjoyed woodworking and was an avid reader.  Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. 
 
He is survived by his devoted wife, Janet (Sayers) Riley, two daughters, Dawn Riley and husband Tim, Diahann Riley and husband Michael, his son, Douglas Riley and fiancee Patty, a brother, Richard Riley and wife Eleanor, his sisters, Linda Armstrong, Joyce Riley, eight grandchildren, Corrine, Marion, Alec, James, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Jered and Jackson.
Heartfelt gratitude to local first responders, Dr. Muenzen and staff, Atlantic Health System medical professionals and the Visiting Nurse Association. 
 
The family wishes memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Our heartfelt condolences to you, Janet, & the entire family. Although we have not seen one another for a while, Al was always a joy to be around & a truly good person. You & the "kids' were so lucky to have him and his memory, presence & life in general will long be remembered.
